Examples are Outdated
Do you know that banks were existing before our era? Do you know the startup companies Helio Water and Umiami?
The history of banking services begins around 2000 BC in Assyria, Babylonia and in ancient Greece...
Services created many centuries ago are
still in use today, and they are profitable (medical services, insurance, distribution, hospitality,
hairdressers, beauty salon....). If examples of Mac Donald's, Starbucks, the School's cafeteria, Internet and mobile phone providers, banking, leisure or your hairstylist are brought forward, as well examples of discourteous contact personnel, are they outdated?
An introductory chapter is dedicated to the Uberization of services and what is new in the industry.
Over the module, examples from real life situations will be provided. The course content, examples and assignments have been based on a long and practical experience of services. Case studies or situational vignettes, are inspired either by genuine companies or by everyday life.
And regarding cases studies, these are all "outdated" from the day of their release, as companies and situations are continuously evolving... Case studies offer opportunities to think over true managerial issues and to make realistic recommendations. The situations presented in case studies are timeless. They have been the same for many years and they will stay the same for many years to come - (disgruntled, customers, the serviscape, managing demand and capacity, service quality...).
One more word: I will be using genuine examples. Isn't it better than situations found in every textbook?
